Well Brennan, it's official! You now are a student at your international kindergarten, and I'm sooooo proud of you! I brought in the deposit today, to officially keep your place for next year.
"You know what school is? It's a place where you make friends, and you play, and you do lots of work, and I'm 5... and I'm going to school!!!!!!!!"
As I'm writing this post, this is what you told Aidan, right behind me. And now, I'm going to turn around, and remind you to eat your supper.
A blog that is very close to my heart. It's for my two little boys (Batman, 5 1/2, and Baby batman, 2 1/2 years). I hope to show them all the little notes I have sent them over the years.

Dear Aidan
You're obsessed with French Fries!!!!!! Nanny took us to the mall today, and as soon as we ENTERED the food court, you started in with a chorus of "French Fries"!!! This lasted all the way through to buying a kids meal, all the way home, and then, after waiting 5 minutes after getting home, you FINALLY were able to eat your French Fries! Good times.
Love you, Baby Batman!

Facebook status updates (Aidan)
"Aidan singing the Scooby Doo song: Doo doo doo, whereyou!"
We were watching Scooby Doo the other day, and I caught you singing that little ditty above. A cute moment, no doubt about that!

Facebook status updates (Brennan)
Here are a few status updates that either Daddy or I put up this past week:
"Daddy, want to see the Brennan Shovel dance?" Uhm...the Brennan Shuffle? "No, Daddy, the Brennan SHOVEL dance!" Okay... *dances around wildly on the bed.
Brennan: Would you like to cook? Me: Mommy is already cooking. Plus its a girl's job... Brennan: But its also a boy's job, right Daddy? Me: Yeah buddy, I was joking.
Just finished Brennan's Kindergarten test. He left with the group of little kids, and on his way out the door, turned, smiled and waved bye to me :) He played legos, drew a picture of himself, wrote his name, and other stuff that he can't seem to remember right now :)
Brennan: "Is Christmas anyone's birthday?" Me: "Well, it's Jesus' birthday." Brennan: "Oh. Is he coming over for a birthday party, too?" Ummmm.... Christmas? Having Christmas and 2 birthday parties in the same month gets confusing for little boys.
The first 2 are from Daddy, the 3rd one was a post that I put up after your test at Children's World, your first real foray into the world of school. The last one was just cute!

Aidan's NEW favorite words
It's been while since I've written to you, Bear and Bunny. Everything's been a bit busy lately, but I'm back on track, hopefully for good, because I don't want to miss you're special moments because I didn't take the time to write them down. Anyways, Aidan's new words:
Choo-Choo, please (sounds like cheese, which is also a new word). Truck, down, up, and body parts, like hand, arm, bum, knee, cheek, toes, head, hair, nose, eyes, mouth, teeth (which sounds like cheese and please). Also, you like to tell us what you want, like juice, cheese, crackers, ju-ju (jubies). Full sentences are coming along slowly but surely, starting with two words, like "please mam" (mam for Grand, I really must stop calling her mum around you, you refuse to call her Grand!) Cat, hat, (together, combined with the pointing of the cat and the hat puzzle was awesome).
You certainly have a lot of words in your repertoire, and I'm enjoying hearing them, and have you understand almost everything I say, including putting juice away in the fridge (when you give me juice and your cup, so I know you definitely want juice, asap. You know, just in case I missed the whole "Juice... juice... juice!!!!!!!!!)
You're birthday is coming up, and you'll be two. Two is a huge age, moving you up a notch, to official toddlerhood. You've been "toddling" along for ages now, but this will be official. Next fall, your big brother Brennan will be starting school, and then, for a bit, it'll be just you and me at home. It will be a new stage in all our lives, and I'm looking forward to it, and a little bit dreading the changes at the same time. Change is not always easy, but when it's good change, it's best to make the leap in a healthy, happy way. I will write again soon, Bear, though the next post will probably be for Brennan, because he has his birthday on wednesday.
I love you so much.
